In Blik Verbeeld - exposition on typical Dutch tins

In many Dutch housholds you will bump into little tins, made by brands such as Verkade (cookies), Douwe Egberts (coffee) and Van Nelle (coffee). These tins stand for a long history of traditions and represent the developments in our society.

The GR-ID is organizing an exposition, called ‘In Blik Verbeeld’ (translated: pictured in tins) about these tins and wrappings.

This exposition answers question such as why Dutch people recognize the logos, but are unable to reproduce them, how the tins are made and how the logos were influenced by social economic developments. A great way to see the Dutch history from a different point of view!
