Weekend Getaway: Paris
This city is different in its own way. In the morning the smell of fresh croissants came from the bakery, people are rushing to the metro station, small market stalls sell fresh products – it is always busy. While studying in the Netherlands, I thought it is a good time to visit this city that I’ve always dreamt of since a child.
It takes about 6 hours by bus to go to Paris from Amsterdam, traveling by train is also possible but it’s more expensive. To visit all the landmarks of Paris, traveling by metro (zone 1 + 2) is the most convenient way because there is metro stations everywhere. There’s a whole day metro ticket that costs 7 euro. The disadvantage of metro is you travel underground most time, so there’s not much to see.
Every person’s story of their trip to Paris is always different. There’s too much to do. So it’s up to you what to do there! You can take a stroll along the romantic streets, sightseeing, culinary tour, shopping, visit Disneyland (for the sake of the little kid inside of you), enjoy the night life – it’s endless. It doesn’t matter what you do as long as you enjoy this beautiful city.
