Here we go again! March has arrived and as you know Groningen never ceases to entertain. Of course we already checked what is going on this month, to make sure you won’t have to miss a thing!

7th of March – Open Day Hanzehogeschool

Really anxious to come over to Groningen, but don't know yet what it is that you want to study? Come to the open day of the Hanzehogeschool in Groningen, on the 7th of March. You'll be able to visit a number of presentations that can inform you about all the courses you're interested in. Bring your mum and dad and make it a weekend city trip to the best city that the Netherlands has to offer! We’ll be there, so see you then!

13th of March – Mr. Polska + Noizboiz

We can imagine that when you come to the Netherlands, you aren't all too familiar yet with the music that the ‘lowlands’ have to offer. What is it with that weird Dutch music? Well, here's the chance to get to know some of the best a little bit better: Mr. Polska. He is currently one of the most popular rappers of the Netherlands and is guaranteed to throw a massive party. Tickets are €12,50, so that's minimum pricing for maximum partying! You can buy the tickets via the website of the Oosterpoort!

14th of March – GRUNN’T

Maybe rap just isn’t the music for you. Well, that’s not a problem at all! On the 14th of March the first edition of GRUNN’T is taking place in Simplon. GRUNN’T is a new metal festival and is guaranteed to rock your night. Are you a massive fan of Endstille, Distillator or Fenris? Or you feel like becoming one? Check the website for the further line-up and make sure to get order your tickets!

24th until 27th of March – ESN International Week

Moving to another city is quite exciting. Moving to another country is even more exciting! We can imagine that when you’ve just arrived to the Netherlands, it might feel like a huge task to learn to get around. Luckily, there is the international student association ESN to lend you a hand. During the last week of March, the International Week will be taking place again. During this week you and a number of other freshly arrived exchange students will be shown all the goods that Groningen has to offer. Together you’ll dive into the nightlife and learn where the beer is cheapest, but they’ll also tell and help you with all practical issues to make sure you’ll feel at home as soon as possible. Besides that, you’ll get to meet new people and make new friends with who you can enjoy this ‘Groninger’ adventure! Check out the programme to see what you’re up to. Be there, or be square
